Teacher Bio Curriculum Schedule

Hi, I'm Ms. Mandy and this is my fourth year here at MIMS. I have taught Language Arts, Science and Math - my favorite is math so I am happy to be teaching it again this year!

I graduated from Winona State University with a Elementary major and a middle school math minor. I am licensed to teach K-5 and 6-8th grade math.

If you would like to contact me, please email me at mandyr@iecmail.net

For 5th grade math we use the  Pearson Realize Curriculum. We will focus on various concepts throughout the year in order to prepare students for 6th grade (Middle School) math.

Some of our topics include: Place value, adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing whole numbers, decimals, fractions, graphs, algebra – expressions and analyze patterns and equations, geometry in 2 dimensional and 3 dimensional shapes, and measurement.

The students will always have IXL practice codes. It is great practice that helps immensely with their learning.
